OTHER PLACES TO VISIT

The Caetani Castle at Sermoneta

The imposing 13th-century Caetani Castle at Sermoneta, 5 km away from Ninfa, dominates the surrounding landscape, its history closely interwoven with that of Ninfa and the Caetani. It, too, is a property of the Roffedo Caetani Foundation and makes for a fascinating tour. The little town of Sermoneta itself is a delight, being a wonderful place to eat, to stay and to explore.

Also within reach by car

Besides an array of delightful and historic hill towns above and near Ninfa (Bassiano, Sezze, Anagni), the coastal cities of Terracina and Sperlonga, along the old Appian Way, are notable for their castles, churches and museums.
