How to reach Ninfa

Ninfa is about 62 km southeast of central Rome and in normal traffic is easily reached by car (1 ½ hours) or by train (one hour) from Termini Station to Latina Station. (From Latina Station the onward taxi ride to Ninfa is no more than 15 minutes.) From Rome’s Fiumicino Airport the driving time to Ninfa is approximately 1 ½ hours, there being no need to pass through central Rome.

There is also a shop, selling a wide range of products from memorabilia, plants and local produce to a selection of books about Ninfa and the Caetani.

The Caetani Castle at Sermoneta

The imposing 13th-century Caetani Castle at Sermoneta, 5 km away from Ninfa, dominates the surrounding landscape, its history closely interwoven with that of Ninfa and the Caetani. It, too, is a property of the Roffedo Caetani Foundation and makes for a fascinating tour. The little town of Sermoneta itself is a delight, being a wonderful place to eat, to stay and to explore.

Also within reach by car

Besides an array of delightful and historic hill towns above and near Ninfa (Bassiano, Sezze, Anagni), the coastal cities of Terracina and Sperlonga, along the old Appian Way, are notable for their castles, churches and museums.
